Proposition Format

Call for papers should be of a length of 800-1000 words (bibliographic references aside), may be written in French or in English, can correspond to empirical studies, theoretical analysis, literature review, etc. In every case, the authors need to identify which specific issue is covered, why it can be considered as part of the proximity economy, which methodology has been used and what are the results, arguments or conclusions of the paper. Authors can also submit, in addition to the abstract, a more complete paper. Propositions have to be structured as follows:

1. Proposition title
2. Proposition theme
3. Issue covered
4. Theoretical frame and/or empirical methodology used and/or reference to similar studies
5. Links with existing researches in the proximity field
6. Major arguments, results and/or anticipated conclusions
7. Major references

Please submit extended abstracts before December 15th 2011 (max. 1,000 words) at Abstracts will be evaluated anonymously by two reporters members of the Scientific Comity and/or by alleged experts. Decisions regarding paper acceptance will be communicated before January 15th, 2012. Accepted papers may be sent before April 30th, 2012.

Papers adopting qualitative, quantitative and macro or micro economic approaches to understanding aspects of creativity, innovation and proximity are welcomed. As are those providing conceptual developments and critical appraisals of various dimensions of proximity in regional economics.
